Dynah Carey knew where her life was headed. Engaged to a wonderful man, the daughter of doting parents, a faithful child of God, she has it all. Then the unthinkable happens: Dynah?s perfect life is irrevocably changed by a rape that results in an unwanted pregnancy. Her family is torn apart and her seemingly rock-solid faith is pushed to the limits as she faces the most momentous choice of her life: to embrace or to end the life within her. This is ultimately a tale of three women, as Dynah?s plight forces both her mother and her grandmother to face the choices they made. Written with balance and compassion, *The Atonement Child* brings a new perspective to the most controversial topic of our times.

    Heart-wrenching story

A challenging book to read. I can't say """"enjoy"""" was exactly the right word, but I was challenged and left pondering for a long time after reading.

    Incredible

This book is incredible and displays what true love is. Dynah's life is thrown upside down, however, it's during that time that she realises that God truly is always with her and the importance of trusting Him. There is so much incredible emotion in these pages, so much heartbreak, but also so much healing and restoration. Definitely a great book to read.

    A worthy read

I'm a fan of Francine Rivers books and while this book was well-written, it isn't one of my favourites. Francine Rivers explored the unfortunate circumstances of rape and an unexpected pregnancy in a Christian environment in this title. While the theme of the book was interesting, the storyline felt too perfect and unrealistic. Overall, I would recommend this book but I won't be reading it for a second time.
