    Encouragement for busy mums

I found this book most encouraging. Young people live such busy lives, thinking mostly of themselves and immediate family. It is important to think outside the square and love those who God has put around us. More than love is shown by Amber Glass, she shows compassion for others and love for her Saviour. She needs to share this love to those she contacts in her daily life. Led by the Holy Spirit she overcomes her embarrasment. Great easy reading.

    A Great Read

God wants us to tell others about Him, that's more than clear in the Bible. I know what I need to do but DOING it is a different story! I'm just an ordinary woman, a wife and mum juggling work, kids and other committments, what impact can I have on the salvation of others?\\r\\n\\r\\nI read The Embarrassed Evangelist and was mighty encouraged and challenged. I found the main character Amber a lot like me! Similar life stage and struggling against feeling ordinary and wondering how to share the love of Jesus,(she does have a weird addiction to Tim Tams though!)\\r\\n\\r\\nThe Embarrassed Evangelist was really easy to read, I couldn't put it down and read it within hours! It's light hearted and very funny but at the same time delivers a really clear message. \\r\\n\\r\\nThe part of the book I found most challenging was the diary entry where Amber is tired, in a rush and can't face sharing her faith with an old school mate she has bumped into. This mate later dies and Amber is full of grief and guilt at the opportunity she let slide. \\r\\n\\r\\nI have been so encouraged to share my faith with others - what do I have to lose? I have found the courage to share with friends in a way I hadn't previously considered. \\r\\n\\r\\nI have no hesitation in encouraging people to grab this book and have a read.

    Adrian Plass meets Bridget Jones

This book by Australian author Glenda Rouxel is one of the best that I have read in a long time. Humourous yet at the same time, truly inspirational,""""The Embarrassed Evangelist"""" reminded me of the works of Adrian Plass in a lot of ways - the same down to earth, practical take on Christian living. The journalling style is similar to that which made """"Bridget Jones' Diary"""" a worldwide success - could this be the Christian Bridget Jones?! I really related to the main character but at the same time found myself chuckling on nearly every page!
