In this surprising retelling of a famous tale, Rapunzel is an expert knife thrower and artist with the ambition to learn to read. After being rescued by a knight, she rescues him in turn, and he agrees to educate her. Beyond his arrogance she uncovers a mystery that will change everything.
**The one who needs rescuing isn't always the one in the tower.**
Rapunzel can throw a knife better than any man around. And her skills as an artist rival those of any artist she's met. But for a woman in medieval times, the one skill she most desires is the hardest one to obtain: the ability to read.
After yet another young man asks for Rapunzel's hand in marriage, Mother decides they need to move once again, but this time to a larger city. Rapunzel's heart soars-surely there she can fulfill her dream. But Mother won't let her close to a man. She claims that no man can be trusted.
After being rescued by a knight on the road to the city, and in turn rescuing him farther down the road, Rapunzel's opportunity arrives at last. This knight, Sir Gerek, agrees to educate Rapunzel in order to pay back his debt. She just has to put up with his arrogant nature and single-minded focus on riches and prestige.
But this Rapunzel story is unlike any other and the mystery that she uncovers will change everything-except her happily ever after.

The Golden Braid (#06 in Hagenheim - My Fairy Tale Romance Series)$24.99
I genuinely LOVE this book! It is magical, inspiring, motivational and heart-warming. But I think that the best part of this book is it's amazing characters and how their individual lives are shaped by the people around them and God. \\nThis book grabbed me from the start and I wasn't unable to put it down. I love the concept and how a fairytale could be turned into a beautiful story. It was just so real, I could literally feel every emotion described in the book. Even the characters felt relatable and I was able to imply the books morales into my daily life. \\nProduct wise. . . it's brilliant. Its a hardback book, so it isn't as easliy damaged as softbacks and easlier to carry around. One thing that could be improved is the cover. It is just a piece of paper wrapped around the hard cover of the book so it can get damaged easliy. Other than that, the book quality is very good. The font is big and easy to read for most ages. (I'm a 16 year old myself and found it easy to read) \\ny o u n e e d t o g e t t h i s b o o k .

A beautifully woven tale!
Loved, loved, loved this fabulous tale by Dickerson! It was the best re-telling of Rapunzel I've ever read, and I thoroughly enjoyed all the twists and turns along the way. I was pleasantly surprised by the sudden plot changes that happened along the way. I have always loved the medieval times, and this book has incorporated the feel of those times quite well. It was also very exciting to see how the other books were woven together with this one. This book is enjoyable as a stand-alone book, but if you read the whole series, it makes it even better. Would recommend this book for those who like medieval times, and a good sweet romance, with a bit of adventure along the way!

Captivating fairytale
I thought that since this was based on the fairy-tale; Rapunzel it would be predictable. I was so wrong. I was held captive and on edge the whole story. It made me feel as though I was living in the middle ages with knights and castles and evil people and schemes yet there was a purity and light that kept coming through. There was the extra bonus towards the end of the story where we meet up with some of the characters from the previous books in this series too.

The tale of the stolen
This story was brilliant, shocking and unexpected! Especially when I found out she was stolen, trapped and fell in love! It is truly the best and most amazing book I've read because surprise is around every corner! Not a single paragraph is even a teeny bit boring!
