    A reprieve in the long night

    From the first page, this book was a breath of fresh air for me. Personal, vulnerable and comforting, The Long Night invites us to step away from the burdens of life for a few minutes, to pause, to breathe, to gather ourselves and to remember we are Beloved. This book is part memoir and part self-help; it tells the author's own struggles with depression (the long night) and shows us we are not alone in our struggles. If you are looking for hope; not so much for a ten-step program but for a true companion on the journey; this book is for you.
