Roseanna White Debuts Sparkling British Historical Romance

Brook Eden has never known where she truly belongs. Though raised in the palace of Monaco, she's British by birth and was brought to the Grimaldis under suspicious circumstances as a babe. When Brook's friend Justin uncovers the fact that Brook is likely a missing heiress from Yorkshire, Brook leaves the sun of the Mediterranean to travel to the moors of the North Sea to the estate of her supposed family.

The mystery of her mother's death haunts her, and though her father is quick to accept her, the rest of the family and the servants of Whitby Park are not. Only when Brook's life is threatened do they draw close--but their loyalty may come too late to save Brook from the same threat that led to tragedy for her mother.

As heir to a dukedom, Justin is no stranger to balancing responsibilities. When the matters of his estate force him far from Brook, the distance between them reveals that what began as friendship has grown into something much more. But how can their very different loyalties and responsibilities ever come together?

And then, for a second time, the heiress of Whitby Park is stolen away because of
the very rare treasure in her possession--and this time only the servants of Whitby can save her.

    Unique

I seriously enjoyed this book. \\nRoseanna White managed to keep me guessing for pretty much all of the book. \\nI found it interesting that the book was set in the 1910's, but that just added a whole new level to it. \\nFull of mystery, romance and intrigue, I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys regency romance with a twist, or even just a good mystery.

Held me captive until the end

This was the first of Roseanna White's books that I have read, and I can say now that I'm a fan!\\r\\nThe mystery of Brook's heritage and the changing nature of her friendship with Justin kept me turning pages long after I should have gone to bed! Although the direction the author is taking in the story was suspected, her way of getting there kept the book from feeling predictable. Looking forward to reading the next one in the series

    A great mystery!

Overall i really enjoyed this book! It was cleverly written and the storyline and drama was really gripping! It follows the story of Brook Eden, a beautiful young women with a zest for life and her best friend Justin, a young man weighing his responsibilities and where he fits in the world. The one thing I didn't like though in the book, was some of the men in the story didn't respect when women said """"no"""" to physical touch. I don't think that sets a good example for relationships and respect. This is only a small part of the book and only happened about twice. Overall I'd still recommend the book as, as a whole it was still good and had a strong God focus throughout. \\r\\n

    Intriguing and Compelling Story

A very intriguing and compelling story that kept me guessing the whole way through. I loved that it was set in England in the Edwardian Era. This book is a good choice for readers who enjoy a historical novel full of romance, drama and mystery. The Author captures the readers interest with interesting characters that are very realistic. A wonderfully written novel that is engaging, intense and memorable. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.
