So loved this story! Right from the start I was hooked by the writing. It was engaging, the story held my interest and I wanted to keep reading to see what would happen next. I found myself wanting the main character to succeed, and I liked the aspect of the interplay with Hyde. This is a story of humanity and our struggle with self. Our attempts to fix ourselves often fail, and we need something outside of ourselves to overcome, a spirituality that can only be God. Toren's temper repeatedly gets the best of him and it ruins his relationships and career. The twists and turns in the story provide for good reading and truths to be found. \\r\\nIf you have read other Rubart books, you will probably enjoy this one; If you haven't and read this, you will likely find his other books equally engaging.
