The Mighty, Mighty King Christmas Book

This is a great introduction to the Christmas story for young kids. I love the way Penny Morrison brings in all the familiar Christmas story elements with fun rhyming and reminds us throughout the story that Jesus is the Might, Mighty King. The story culminates in what Jesus has done on the cross for us.

The Mighty Mighty King is a good story to read to young kids about Christmas. It focuses on Jesus' s birth, the true meaning of Christmas, and looks into his adult life too. It rhymes, which the kids will enjoy, and it is interactive. I recommend it to parents and to those who work with young children at church. I love that it is written by an Australian author too!

I found this book great for a kid's story around Christmas time. I used it for church and the kids loved joining in, saying 'Mighty Mighty King' together. It's a good size to hold and read and show the pictures at the same time. I now keep it and promote it as a resource for Christmas events.

This can be a good book for younger children. It can keep them entertained and excited by making them listen for """"Mighty Mighty King"""". I also like that it rhymes. It makes children think about the true meaning of Christmas. It has nice pictures and a good story. It teaches the story of Jesus' birth in a nice way.

This is the first Christmas story book that I've found that is absolutely perfect for the preschool age-group. It doesn't retell the whole Christmas story in every detail, but instead explains the significance of why Jesus came. It includes actions for the kids to participate in, words for them to repeat (""""mighty mighty King""""), and is told in rhyming couplets, making it very enjoyable to listen to. I used this for our Christmas story at playgroup this year, and the kids really enjoyed it. My 3 year old keeps choosing it to read before bed, and after one hearing now participates very energetically with the words and actions. I love that this book doesn't stop at baby Jesus, but explains that Jesus grew up to die on the cross and rise again, and also shows the children what their response to Jesus should be """"We know one day he'll return to earth, So love and obey him for all you're worth. """" Such an excellent book that I will keep on using every year.
