    an enjoyable book

This book can be read alone or as part of the series. I found it an interesting book that worked though a family feud and presented some insight into life in the mining towns in the 1800's. A well written book that keeps your interest.

    Great story

This 3rd book in the series easily immerses the reader from the first few pages. I struggled to read book 2 but was pleasantly surprised by this story. Two families divided by a long-standing feud must sort out their differences and learn some lessons about what is most important in life. I appreciated the way Tracie was able to discuss faith and family topics without coming across as being overly preachy in presentation. It felt natural to read about these aspects in the characters lives, and I felt as though I had also learnt something important by the close of the story. \\r\\n\\r\\nThere are a few side plots to keep the reader more fully engaged in the story and questioning what will happen next. I recommend this book to those wanting an interesting read for a weekend or two.
