All the books are about the same people and they follow on from each other like one very long book, so they must be read in the correct order. \\r\\nThe Missing follows on from The Secret, continuing the story of Grace Byler's longing to find her missing mother and to discover the reasons behind her leaving them in the first place, a very unAmish thing to have done. My heart ached for Judah,Grace's father, who is trapped in a world of his own, emotionally paralysed and uncommunicative. Maybe he would try harder to break out if he knew how it affected those around him - his wife and now Grace who second guesses her decision to marry because her Dad is too sullenly silent. \\r\\nThere is romance, though, and more intertwining of the lives of Grace and Heather. you'll enjoy reading more about these two brave young women.
