    Amazing!

Readers will enjoy seeing some of their favorite characters again. Not just from the Shadows over England Series, but from the Ladies of the Manor series as well. \\nFull of espionage, love, friendship and family, this book kept me enthralled to the end. \\nI can't wait to read the rest of the series.

    Codebreakers

\\nAnyone who loves reading well-written intrigue, romance, and suspense will enjoy reading about the important yet secret work of Margot De Wilde. A unique, intelligent, beautiful young woman, Margot views the world through numbers. With great significance, these numbers allow her to control and predict circumstances based on statistics and probability. However, this is all shattered when Drake comes along. In a quest to win her heart, he determines what her love language is, which muddles the numbers and emotions of Margot. Emotions, they're uncharted territory for Margot and she doesn't know what to make of them, to trust them or not? Parallel to their romance is Margot's friendship with Dot, who together navigate Room 40 and the unknowns of the future. Whilst a serious book with lots of historical meaning, the dry humour was great! I love Margot's sarcasm and how this makes her a woman not to be trifled with. She lives by her own etiquette, and isn't swayed by the latest fashions. The title alone """"The Number of Love"""" is rich with meaning, as subtle as it may be. It's a book rich with symbolism. \\n

    So much historical detail!

This was both brilliant and so much more difficult to read than I thought it would be! Having met Margot in a previous series, I already loved her so was really looking forward to reading her story - and what a story it was! A totally fascinating look inside Room 40 and the codebreakers of the Great War. While I absolutely loved the romance and family aspects of the story, the mathematics, codenames and Margot's almost autistic-like logic were a challenge at times to follow, making it not exactly a relaxing book to read. That said, it was because the characters were written so well that I was so drawn in. Margot's stress became my own. Overall, though, an absolutely brilliant book and one that challenged my own faith, in a good way. Beautifully written, romantic and suspenseful, full of historical details and characters you can't help but love. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys wartime historical fiction, suspense or lots and lots of numbers.

    Roseanna M White's best yet

\\r\\nThe whole concept of coding has always fascinated me, as I suspect it has fascinated Roseanna M White. I understand the basic principles of cyphers and codes, but I am clueless when it comes to the maths behind creating and (especially) cracking codes. That's why I find a heroine like Margot De Wilde fascinating. She might be only a teenager, but she's cleverer than most of the men working in her department and has gained their respect because of her skill. \\r\\n\\r\\nIf you read Roseanna M White's excellent Shadows Over England series, then you'll recognise Margot De Wilde and her family from A Song Unheard. And if you've read The Cypher Ring series, then you'll know Roseanna M White has a longstanding fascination with codes and codebreakers. \\r\\n\\r\\nBut don't worry if you haven't read them: The Number of Love is an excellent standalone novel that combines White's love of codes with an excellent romantic suspense story set against the backdrop of World War I London. \\r\\n\\r\\nThe characters are fascinating, the writing is excellent, and the result is a unique page-turner. Recommended for fans of historical fiction, and for those intrigued by movies such as Enigma or Hidden Figures. I'm looking forward to reading the next in the series. \\r\\n\\r\\nThanks to Bethany House and NetGalley for providing a free ebook for review

    A Life of Codes

During the Great War, there was a place in London so secret that even today not everything is known about it. Referred to as Room 40, it was a beehive of activity that contained top code breakers and puzzle masters. They worked around the clock pouring over the enemy's coded top-secret information in an attempt to decipher the messages. The knowledge they gleamed helped protect their country, along with her military and intelligence agents. \\r\\nMargot De Wilde, is a beautiful, brilliant, no-nonsense young female who is unaware of most people, because she looks at the world thru numbers. What really makes her unusual is that she is one of the rare females who works in Room 40. Her work brings her into contact with undercover agent Drake Elton. Unknowingly, she also becomes involved with a dangerous enemy assassin. Margot finds herself in the middle of a plot to kidnap her best friend, kill Drake, and bomb London. \\r\\nThis action story contains secret missions, clandestine meetings, along with a romance that just might turn out to be one-sided. However, there were a couple of places the tale slowed down. I loved that Margot's strong faith in God was part of the story, and I learned things about WWI I didn't know. Anyone who enjoys well-written intrigue or romance stories will like this 4-star book. The publisher provided a review book\\r\\n
