Denver chef Rachel Bishop has accomplished everything she's dreamed and some things she never dared hope, like winning a James Beard Award and heading up her own fine-dining restaurant. But when a targeted smear campaign causes her to be pushed out of the business by her partners, she vows to do whatever it takes to get her life back ... even if that means joining forces with the man who inadvertently set the disaster in motion.
Essayist Alex Kanin never imagined his pointed editorial would go viral. Ironically, his attempt to highlight the pitfalls of online criticism has the opposite effect: it revives his own flagging career by destroying that of a perfect stranger. Plagued by guilt-fueled writer's block, Alex vows to do whatever he can to repair the damage. He just doesn't expect his interest in the beautiful chef to turn personal.
Alex agrees to help rebuild Rachel's tarnished image by offering his connections and his home to host an exclusive pop-up dinner party targeted to Denver's most influential citizens: the Saturday Night Supper Club. As they work together to make the project a success, Rachel begins to realize Alex is not the unfeeling opportunist she once thought he was, and that perhaps there's life-and love-outside the pressure-cooker of her chosen career. But can she give up her lifelong goals without losing her identity as well?

I really enjoyed this book, especially the banter and chemistry between the two main characters. They were so much fun! Both their stories pulled me in really fast because they were such relatable characters. I loved following their journey from enemies to friends to more, but also how they grew as people and individuals. Also, wow, the food. So much food. I'm not much of a foodie but could definitely appreciate all the descriptions. Also, the friends. Everyone needs friends like these. And the romance. And the, okay, everything. Highly recommend!

Inspiring
This book makes you hungry. Rachel is a chef who has to think outside the box to keep her career going. All through the book there are descriptions of meals she is cooking. It makes for a fun book to read. I love the chemistry between Rachel and Alex. I also loved the friendship between Rachel and her two girlfriends. It beautifully showed how true friendship works well. \\nCarla Laureano has the gift of entwining a beautiful Christian romance in among some very real life issues. This is a very encouraging story about finding your identity in who God made you to be. \\n

Culinary Delight
Literary delight - romance, friendship, forgiveness, trust, passion, beauty, culture, food. Think No Reservations with Catherine Zeta-Jones; witty, humour, territories, insecurities. Each chapter has a different flavour, with new twists and revelations ensuring I went back for more. Before I knew it, going in for seconds saw me finishing the book. The story progressed so naturally, effortlessly drawing me in. \\r\\nThe chemistry between Alex and Rachel was great. Forbidden and unwanted attraction turned into something tangible and meaningful. Their friends are so funny, encouraging this unchartered territory - dress shopping, caf debriefs, rock climbing, throwing parties. Laureano is a gifted writer that so naturally invites you in. I loved being immersed in the restaurant environment, being caught up in the thrill of service and early morning markets. I loved this book. You will not be disappointed! \\r\\n

Wonderful!
\\r\\nThe Saturday Night Supper Club is a great read-almost perfect contemporary Christian romance. It's also a lesson in the power of the media-especially social media-to work for good and for evil. \\r\\n\\r\\nAnd the food . . . I wanted it all. \\r\\n\\r\\nThe Saturday Night Supper Club is the story of how Alex and Rachel work together to try and resurrect her career. \\r\\nIt's a romance, so you know how that goes. It also has a solid Christian thread, in that both Rachel and Alex are Christians, and each has lessons to learn about the nature of God. But it's not preachy, which is great. \\r\\n\\r\\nOverall, The Saturday Night Supper Club is a great contemporary Christian romance, with wonderful characters, and wonderful food. I do hope there are a couple of sequels in the works!\\r\\n\\r\\nThanks to Tyndale Publishing and NetGalley for providing a free ebook for review.
