    Great Christian Romantic Suspense

    4. 5 stars - Orion had been a pararescue jumper in the military until a mission in Afghanistan went south, leaving him with a busted knee and some of his teammates dead or captured. He'd met a woman called Jacey who was working there as a journalist. However, he never saw her after he was injured and shipped out. Three years later, Jacey, now going by the name of Jenny, crosses his path in Alaska, but pretends not to know him. That all changes when Jenny and her two friends run into trouble while climbing Denali and Orion and his friends have to rescue them. But what will happen when Orion learns Jenny's terrible secret?\\n\\nAbout half of the book is spent on the mountain and there are plenty of death-defying moments. The writing was really good, the backstories were complex, and the romances (yes two of them) certainly heated things up. A little on the racy side for a Christian novel, but with respect for each other and no major boundaries crossed. I also liked the way the author wove in faith elements around tough questions like 'Why does God let bad things happen to good people?' No pat answers are given, but the conversations prompt a lot of thought. My only slight hesitation is that a little two much time was spent on the secondary romance (as they become the couple in the next one). I found it a little hard at times to remember everyone's backstory and which couple we were focusing on. But I really enjoyed it and am already halfway through Book 2.

    Good Friends & Danger!

Three friends, Shasha, Jenny, and Aria, are trapped on Denali, a dangerously steep Alaskan mountain, known for avalanches, bad weather and blizzard white outs. Jenny convinced them to make the climb as a way to rise above some difficulties they have faced. Just when it looks like all is lost, a group of three former Seals: Orion, Ham and Jake, appear. Instead of getting the women off the mountain, the men become trapped while trying to rescue them. \\nAdditionally, Orion and Jenny have a history, in fact, their past is the main reason Jenny was making this climb-to forget him along with the secret she never wants him to know. Orion, on the other hand, has been searching for Jenny for the past two years. \\nBesides the life and death battle on the mountain, there are also struggles with an incognito bomber at a political rally. The rally politician may hold the key to the mystery of two seals first listed as dead, but now possibly alive. Have they been spirited away by some government agency?\\nThis book is amazing! You get caught up in this well-written story right away with action, dramatic relationships, and mystery. Faith enters the story through Orion's fury over hearing about God from all-trusting Ham. I highly recommend this 5-plus star book to anyone who enjoys well-developed stories that will capture your heart!\\nRevell Publishing has provided bookreadingtic with a complimentary copy of, The Way of the Brave, for the purpose of review.
