    Vulnerable

This book is so raw and vulnerable. As someone who struggles with OCD and intrusive thoughts, it was comforting to read of his personal interplay between wrestling with his mental illness and resting in his faith in God.

    One of a kind

This is a profound and often poetic meditation on mental illness that exudes a hopeful trust in Christ; raw and moving, but not in a self-indulgent, sentimental way. Bryant vividly describes what it’s like to experience intense OCD and trauma. Reflecting on his mental breakdown, his brief time in the psych ward, and his slow recovery, Bryant writes of “the excruciating freedom to trust Christ and not fix it”—Christ, who has offered him Mercy; Christ, who sanctifies suffering by his proximity to it.
