    Brilliant

I loved reading this book. I found that the teachings in it were incredibly enlightening as the author relates how David's words actually apply to a shepherd and his sheep. I learnt lots about sheep. The overall feeling that I got from the book though was one of peace and security as I came to understand more about God's character and actions as my shepherd. This is a book to own and reread often.

    Well worth reading

So much to learn from sheep and it is all in this book. A beautiful book to encourage and bless the reader as you look at the life of sheep through the eyes of a real shepherd, encouraging us to follow the Shepherd. It is no wonder our Lord uses sheep to show what we are like and how much we need a Shepherd and how He cares for us.

    Excellent

This is a great little simple book to read. It explains the picture language King David used when he wrote Ps 23. By using his personal experience as a shepherd, Phillip Keller breaks down each aspect of the psalm so we, the non shepherds may understand the heart of what King David was expressing when he stated """" The Lord is my Shepherd"""".

    Essential Reading

Thank God for this book! Thank God for Phillip Keller. As the book says it is written by a man who was a sheherd for many years. He uses what he has learned about sheep, their behaviour, needs, natural tendancies, their suseptablity to disease and pests and what he has learned as a shepherd in meeting those needs and with the skill of a surgeon applies the 23rd Psalm verse by verse. What results is a simple but practicle and heart stirring parallel of us as sheep under the Supreme, expert care of Almighty God as The Shepherd. I found this book so helpful and encouraging. I am about to read it again I have benefited from it so much. Anyone who reads this book, will be greatly blessed.
