I received the third book of this series (Active Defense) free to review. I enjoyed the third book because, by this point, I had gotten to know the characters and understand them a bit more. I was familiar with who they are and that always makes it more enjoyable to read. I love the variety of characters in this book and how the development of them is realistic and interesting.
