American Gospel: Christ Crucified, DVD

This is the second in the American Gospel series. Do not be put off by the title; it is for all Christians. They are mostly stand alone, so you don't have to watch them in order. 'Christ Crucified' builds on the same purpose that the first one had; to present the true, biblical Gospel and refute the falsehoods found in churches today. It, above all else, shows how amazing and beautiful the Gospel message really is and that it does not need to be changed. Its focuses on progressive Christianity and how it softens the reality of the cross and who God is. 'Christ Crucified' explores how key aspects of the Gospel message, like sin and God's wrath, are being played down or even rejected entirely. It shows how the good news of the cross is actually a two-sided coin that includes God's wrath toward sin, but also God's love for us. What is being taught in churches is truly shocking, and I am glad that this documentary highlights it and addresses it using scripture. I would recommend this to anyone as it points to Christ and the amazing message that is the Gospel.

This is one of those dvds that you want to go and buy a dozen copies to distribute to all your friends. An understanding of the historic and biblical gospel as opposed to what we commonly hear today. I recommend this to any parent who want to introduce historic christianity to his/her family.

This is a great documentary on the so called """"American Gospel"""", it exposes the errors of the prosperity gospel, word of faith movement. The producers interviewed some well-known evangelical pastors, like Matt Chandler, Mike Horton and Paul Washer. Not only does it expose the false gospels, but it also describes the true gospel of Jesus Christ. Greatly recommended for those who are serious about knowing the truth.
