A Movement Seeks to Redefine Christianity. Some Think that It Is a Much-Needed Progressive Reformation. Others Believe that It Is an Attack on Historic Christianity.

Alisa Childers never thought she would question her Christian faith. She was raised in a Christian home, where she had seen her mom and dad feed the hungry, clothe the homeless, and love the outcast. She had witnessed God at work and then had dedicated her own life to leading worship, as part of the popular Christian band ZOEgirl. All that was deeply challenged when she met a progressive pastor, who called himself a hopeful agnostic.

Another Gospel? describes the intellectual journey Alisa took over several years as she wrestled with a series of questions that struck at the core of the Christian faith. After everything she had ever believed about God, Jesus, and the Bible had been picked apart, she found herself at the brink of despair . . . until God rescued her, helping her to rebuild her faith, one solid brick at a time.

In a culture of endless questions, you need solid answers. If you or someone you love has encountered the ideas of progressive Christianity and aren't sure how to respond, Alisa's journey will show you how to determine ― and rest in ― what's unmistakably true.

    Great informative read

An extremely well written, engaging and accessible account of Alisa's journey through deconstructing and nearly losing her faith after encountering a progressive pastor and church; and the rebuilding of a deeper, more meaningful faith.

Very timely book given the rise of progressive Christianity and false teaching.

Highly recommend for any reader, whether just newly exploring the Christian faith or long time Christians.

    A needful read

Well written and informative, yet personal. Childers does a great job making complex issues understandable to the average person. I love that she gives all of the references so that those who will take the time to look them up can. Be a Berean! This is a timely read. Having questions is fantastic, staying stuck in doubt is unnecessary. The truth can withstand any attack. This book can open eyes to the tactics of wolves among the flock. Let's be ready in season and out.

    Warm and Full of Truth

Alisa writes in a warm and winsome way, engaging her reader immediately as she recounts her journey through a crisis of faith, while giving wonderful evidence for historical Christianity. \\n\\nAlisa addresses the fundamental questions that attempt to undermine Christianity and its claims, removing their power and the seeds of confusion they sow by providing honest answers and evidence from history, science and philosophy. \\n\\nIn a world where 'anything goes' and truth is subjective (a troubling trend that is invading and swallowing up churches at a rapid rate) rather than pulling up the drawbridges and burying our heads in the sand, the church must hold fast the beautiful truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and stand confidently on the claims of historic Christianity. I have been wonderfully equipped and encouraged through Alisa's testimony and highly recommended you read this book. And then give it to everyone you know!\\n\\nAlisa is a gift to the body of Christ as she boldly proclaims the truth for which she battled long and hard.

    Great Book, Recommended

Fantastic book. Easy to read written in an enjoyable conversational style. An important and timely book. A reminder to be more discerning when reading or listening to other 'christians'. It was also a new thought for me that the common words used by many Christian's may have very different meanings for each of us. Really appreciated the lists of resources at the back of the book, especially the podcasts. Encouraged me to explore and be able to better defend and explain my why.
