    Classic Brother Andrew

The Story of Brother Andrew is a classic that begs to be read over and over. It is truly inspiring. I would, however, recommend it for slightly older children as there are some references to drunkenness, suicide and prostitution etc. This is a real life story and so these references are very appropriate, but parents may have some explaining to do. My suggestion would be 13/14 years upwards.

    Good read

This book was an inspiring book that about the life of Brother Andrew. Despite what I was expecting,""""God's Secret Agent"""" was actually quite gripping and an interesting read. I was amazed at the true stories in the book about how God used Brother Andrew to reach people around them. \\r\\nThe book was very good, however I wouldn't recommend it for under 10 year olds. Not that there is anything inappropriate, just that it would be a little hard for them to understand. Also, older readers are more likely to be able to apply it to their lives and understand how impossible the things that Brother Andrew achieved really were. \\r\\nThis is a good book, and I recommend it for high school aged students and above.

    Going forward in faith

Our family enjoyed this account of Brother Andrew's life in Europe and Indonesia. We saw how God leads in unique ways and how He uses the personality and talents of a person for His purposes. This book was an excellent way to teach our children about communism and controlling dictatorships in general. It also brought out what real faith can look like in these difficult settings and against all odds. Praise God for these authors who inspire us all to go forward in faith.

    Inspirational story of Brother Andrew

This is another great book in this series. We read these books as a family, with children aged 2-16, and it is appropriate for all. . . though I imagine it is probably aimed at the 9-12 age group. \\r\\nThese books often begin with the person's childhood, which obviously enables a child to identify with them and then takes the reader of their life journey, which is always inspirational. \\r\\nThis book begins in Holland in WW2, covering his escapades as a child in thwarting the efforts of the German army and then continues into his smuggling bibles into Communist countries. \\r\\nThis series is value for money. \\r\\n

    Great Read

I love the work that Brother Andrew does today for Open Doors, and so it was fascinating reading about his life and his early years. Christian Heroes books are written in such a way that they are great to sit down and read quickly, and would be great for young teens as well. They are informative and provide great background information on well-known names that seem to come up often. I find they are a quick and simple way to improve my knowledge of people who contributed to the Christian way of life over the years, in addition to being inspirational and indicative of the hardships that so many people have endured and overcome by God's grace.
