Useful for Going Deeper on OT quotations in NT
A useful commentary to have on your shelf (digital or physical!) to dig deeper into those OT quotes, allusions and imagery across the NT. The sections are variable depending on the author but overall worth checking & taking your study of the text further.

A Unique Resource
This is a much-needed resource that has finally been written. This commentary tackles all the OT citations and allusions in the NT. Shortvague allusions are discussed in passing but in the fuller articles the following headings determine the structure of the article: NT context, OT context, use of OT quotation in Jewish sources of the period, textual issues, NT use, theological use. Generally, a detailed commentary on any particular book will deal with these issues in some way but the discussions in this commentary show that the contributers have considered these matters particularly thoughtfully so the conclusions they draw are particularly cogent. Grab it if you don't have it.
