Thomas and Tasmin, twin siblings hired to oversee a wedding feast in Cana, worry when the host runs out of wine ... until a guest tells Tasmin to have the servants fill the pitchers by the gate with water from the cistern. Reluctantly, she obeys and is amazed when rainwater turns into the finest wine ever tasted in Cana.

When Thomas impulsively decides to follow the teacher from Nazareth, he and Tasmin argue--since the twins have been together since the womb, Tasmin can't accept losing her brother to some magician-prophet. Aided by Jude, younger brother to Jesus of Nazareth, she decides to follow the Nazarene's group and do whatever she must to mend the fractured relationship and bring her brother home.

    First in the series

I do love Angela Hunt books and this one did not disappoint. It is a beautiful story of Jesus' earthly family. Clearly fiction but it is a reminder that he had a family. A mother, an earthly father, brothers and sisters. Sometimes it is easy to just read the 'stories' in the bible and forget they had lives just like we do. Angela brings the biblical time to life in her books.

    Love this!

I received this book as a present for my birthday and initially, I wasn't that interested but after reading it I absolutely loved it and just finished reading it for the third time. Angela Hunt is an extremely talented author and I will be reading more books written by her as soon as possible. It is the perfect book for Christian teens and though it is a bit more expensive than some of her other books the content was definitely worth it. If you are interested I would recommend buying a hardback or ebook version if it comes out on hardback or ebook because it is a great book but the actual quality of the product was a bit disappointing. The cover bent very easily, the paper seems very thin and delicate and the design of the book makes it more difficult to read as it can be challenging to hold it open. This is the case with most paperbacks but I thought it was important to note and share. In conclusion, I would definitely recommend it but just beware of the quality!
