Can a Christian be anxious and still have faith?
When nineteen-year-old Nikki Thompson lost her older brother, Greg, in a car accident, her stable world of faith and family became unsafe overnight. This was followed by a painful, decades-long journey with clinical anxiety and panic disorder - a journey that involved both seasons of trying to fight and flee from the pain - and, eventually, the beginnings of an expanded, reawakened faith.
For the ever-increasing number of people suffering the pain of anxiety, for the weary, for those who fear they have failed themselves, others, and God; for strung-out believers constantly stretching and straining for a piece of peace; this book is a reminder that wherever we stand, Jesus-our older brother, our refuge, and our fellow sufferer - is ever near, beckoning us to come join him on the journey.

A beautiful, much needed book
Nikki is a brilliant storyteller and for me, the book was a page-turner. I learnt a lot about what life is like for a Christian living with anxiety. Even for those who don't suffer anxiety disorder, the core story and message of the book is universally helpful. I've recently been thinking how imagination is the key to reaching the mind, and how this is even more true for the suffering mind. When someone is hurting, de-contextualised statements of truth may damage, like naked weapons. However story, poetry, imagery, these are friends that carry more complex truths which are able to bring real comfort. 'Flight, Fight and Faith' is Nikki's very real story told gently, beautifully, engagingly. She comes alongside the reader as a truly non-judgmental, vulnerably honest friend who never pretends to have it all together. Highly recommended. You will wish you bought more copies as you will keep thinking of people to share it with!

Life Changing
Thank you to Nikki for courageously writing a book that is so personal and so heart-felt and for a space where the personal is so needed. This will pierce the soul of so many and create a soothing balm where people can feel ok to not feel ok and find Jesus amongst it all. Every time I purchase an order I need to purchase more as I continue to find more people that need this book. Thank you to everyone that is part of this story and to the God who created us all.
