*God Made Boys and Girls* helps children understand that their gender is a gift from the God who made them and loves them. The story begins as the girls and boys at Grace Christian School are discussing if boys will always be boys and girls will always be girls.
Their teacher explains that God gives each of us the gift of being male or female before we are born, and that you continue to be a boy or a girl whether you like to climb trees or play house, play tag or color pictures, cause a ruckus or sit quietly.
In a world where there is so much confusion about gender and identity, pastor and best-selling author Marty Machowski shares the simple, clear truth that all of us are made in God's image as either male or female--and what God made is very good!
Included in the back of the book is a special section just for parents and caregivers that gives biblical guidance and help as they have this important conversation with their children.

Good conversation starter
This book has nice illustrations and would be helpful to start a conversations with children about the differences between boys and girls, and this is a gift from God. It has some lovely messages of love. It seems relevant to children as it is set in a primary school classroom. The only thing I found disappointing was the interchangeable use of terminology, but this was otherwise an excellent resource.

Great resource
This book is a nice sized hardback book, and matches four other God made. . . books by different authors. It is really nicely printed, with bright illustrations and good quality paper. The book is a great resource for helping start conversations with children about the differences between boys and girls. It talks about how its not about how fast you run, or what activities you enjoy, etc. but a gift from God of either being a boy or girl. It talks about how we are either xx or xy in every cell in our body, talks about how God designed it this way right back with Adam and Eve, and talks about sin and Jesus coming to save us from our sin. It reminds us to love other people and how much God loves us. Its all done in a story about a group of children and their teacher, and I think it is done very well. Our children are being taught all sorts of other agendas in day care and school, etc. though many different media, including books, so it is great to have a book that teaches the truth on this subject, in such a loving way. Highly recommend for any children between 4-12 years old.
