This commentary by Mark Boda on Haggai and Zechariah is the only commentary on Zechariah I have seen that spends a necessary amount of time in chapters 9-14. \\r\\n\\r\\nMark takes the view that these chapters are first and forrmost fulfilled in Jesus. \\r\\n\\r\\nMessiah enters 9:9-10 - Mk 11:1-11\\r\\nCovenant established 9:11 - Mk 14:24\\r\\nMessiah rejected 11:4-17 - Matt 27:51-53\\r\\nMessiah betrayed 11:12-13 - Mk 14:10-11\\r\\nMessiah deserted 13:7 - Mk 14:26-31\\r\\nMessiah killed 12:10 - Jn 19:28-37\\r\\nMourning 12:11-14 - Lk 23:27\\r\\nResurrection 14:3-5 Matt 27:51-53\\r\\n\\r\\nMark explains there is a now and not yet approach to these chapters as the 5 chapters can also be discerned in Revelation. \\r\\n\\r\\nAll in all, its a solid commentary, exegetically and applicably. One of the best in the NIV commentary series. All serious students studying Zechariah should purchase this commentary. \\r\\n\\r\\nI unfortunately haven't had time to go through the notes on Haggai, but the notes on Zechariah make this book worth buying.
