When Bryan Morgan started investigating his brother’s disappearance little did he know the can of worms he would be opening. Town secrets that date back to the 1800’s, which still haunt the people today.

Sara Whitney has only lived in Haighs Flat for three months having moved there to investigate the disappearance of her uncle. Why is it that no one even remembers her uncle living or working there?

Bryan never had a religious upbringing, Sara on the other hand was brought up in the church but walked away from the faith at an early age when her Sunday School teacher could not answer her questions. So when Bryan and Sara meet because of their missing relatives, neither of them expected their journey would lead them to the Bible.

As they search for answers, the theories given them one by one get refuted until all that’s left are from old George, a Bible believing farmer whom the rest of the town think is crazy. Not until Bryan and Sara are invited to a barbecue with the invitation to ask more questions, does George’s theories begin make sense and Sara’s questions from her childhood get answered. But could his theories be true? Could they even be scientifically plausible?

With the evidence given them, will Bryan and Sara run with the truth or run from it.

Not only will this book keep you on the edge of your seat as you look into mystery after mystery, it also shows the importance of Biblical knowledge for evangelizing the Christian message.

ENDORSEMENT

This novel is an example of what Christian fiction should be for the reader:

- It has entertained me immensely
- It has encouraged my walk with God
- It has not deviated from known Biblical doctrine, and it will not, I believe, lead a non-believer astray or promote false doctrine
- It honours God
- It does not encourage worship of the created (eg angels) instead of the Creator (God).

Mystery and suspense meets the gospel through Creation

For a debut novelist, Colin Williams has ticked all the boxes that makes a great story. Though some people may find the writing style somewhat simplistic, I believe that the author has deliberately done this to make it easy for all to read.

The story itself starts off with Bryan seeking answers about his missing brother, who knew that this would lead him to discover town secrets that date back to the 1890s, but not only this, but the fact that other people have also mysteriously disappeared. In his search for answers he finds himself in a romantic relationship and his investigations leads him to an eccentric old farmer who believes he has the answers - except his theories sound too strange to be taken seriously. Could there be any truth in his ramblings?

The author has truly done his homework in presenting the evidence for the existence of dinosaurs living alongside of people and not only through Biblical interpretation but also through archaeological finds.

If you like suspense, mystery, corruption, and being kept on the edge of your seat not wanting to put a book down until the end, this is the novel for you. It will also be a great evangelical tool for those who have questions about the Creation account in Genesis
