    Essential

This book provides very well defined guidelines for us to live in our culture, engage with it, but not conform to it, as espoused by a missional lifestyle. For even greater depth, read it with """"Total Truth"""" (also by Pearcey). A different worldview is presented here in contrast to the captive, struggling hyper-traditionalism or the """"everything goes"""" liberalism that is sweeping our nations. What if God wanted to redeem EVERYTHING for His glory, and use us, His people, to engage and excel in every facet of human culture and experience from language, the arts, entertainment, literature etc. . ? Yep, check it out.

    Living With a Christian Worldview

Charles Colson, the founder of Prison Fellowship and Angel Tree, is one of my favorite authors. His book 'How Now Shall We Live' is both engaging and relevant. It tackles the issue of worldviews, and how they influence every facet of life. Colson argues that Christianity is a worldview which is able to make a tangible difference in society. He encourages readers using a series of testimonies from the lives of other believers, to guide theological discussion. Whilst this book is accessible for all lay readers, it has depth which proves valuable for all.
