Lynn Austin once again creates a novel that is difficult not to put down. This novel is based on the story of Ezra and the historical framework surrounding this old testament prophet. She writes with such depth and her descriptions create such vivid imagery that you get caught up in the storyline cheering Ezra and Gods people and seeing the Bible become more real through these characters. He attention to the cultural aspects of Jerusalem during this time help with understanding Gods Word in a fresh way. I highly recommend this book.
