Lexham English Septuagint: A New Translation

I greatly value this translation for its readability and more up-to-date translation. For readers interested in the translation of the (Hebrew) Old Testament for the Greek New Testament, this is a great starter resource to see the differences generally, but also see how the Masoretic/Hebrew was used for New Testament use. To compare with Brenton's work/version (Hendrickson); it is far more readable (though it lacks the Greek behind the English used) and the translation work is commendable. I recommend reading the introduction, as it provides a helpful self-awareness of differences compared to other Septuagint translations. \\n\\nPersonally I find it is readable, but I would have liked a slightly larger font. I find the pages mostly opaque, but there is slight see-through in some pages (I estimate, it is at least 32 gsm, slightly thicker than standard study bible pages), but it's not too distracting. I appreciate the wide margins (useful for note taking on the side). It is lined matched, though some readers may struggle with the smaller font. \\n\\nI was recommended to purchase it during Bible College (I ignored the recommendation until after graduation!). For Bible college students encouraged to have awareness of historical and exegetical awareness (insight into the Apocrypha too) in approaching NT studies, I'd recommend having this edition on hand.
