In 2002, Bible Society UK researcher Martin Robinson said, "In western Europe we have succeeded in producing a generation that knows nothing about the Scriptures. So serious is this lack of knowledge that in some departments of Fine Arts in our universities they are having to run courses in the Bible so students can understand medieval art and English literature. Whether we like it or not, we are living in a society that knows increasingly less and less about the Bible."

His answer was that Bible Societies world-wide needed to present the story of the Bible in a way that is culturally relevant. THE AUSSIE BIBLE and now MORE AUSSIE BIBLE seek to do this in Australia. Both books present the story of the Bible and Jesus in a relevant way so the readers will have their interest aroused and then read the whole story in a New Testament or complete Bible. ***- Publisher.***

It's back and there's more of it! Following on the heels of the international success of The Aussie Bible which has already sold over 110000 copies narrator Kel Richards picks up the message and runs and runs and runs with the same winning Australian style. More Aussie Bible is a winner in the same mold as its big brother The Aussie Bible. Kel Richards narrates some of the best known bible stories in a manner and style that will have you reading and sometimes laughing out loud.

    Hilarious

I love humour and I'm a big fan of it. They have often said ""laughter is the best medicine"" and it truly is a wonderful medicine. Studies have also shown that laughter is good for your overall health in less stress, anxiety and man's ability to over analyse. This More Aussie Bible is such a fun way of interpreting the Bible, in such a way that people today can understand. And if we can get the good news to others via a humorous interpretation of Scripture then that's got to be a good thing, right? I bought The Aussie Bible some 30 years ago and was perusing the store this morning when I saw this sequel and just had to grab it.

    Fun Outreach Tool

This is a fun outreach tool to our fellow Australians. This introduction tool can help our ever increasing secularised and sceptical society (especially for those in certain demographics, like the bush).

A great 'sequel' of sorts to the first """"Aussie Bible"""". Kel writes portions of scripture for the average Aussie - if you know the term """"occa"""", then this is for you. I've found it a great resource to quote from when preaching and sharing to the ordinary person like myself. Think of it as a paraphrase, not a translation, using idioms and language familiar to Aussies. True Blue Hooroo, this one!
