    Inspirational

This is an amazing commentary on Revelation for such a small book. The author captures the overview so clearly. By the end of the book, you really do feel like """"more than a Conqueror"""" because you are united to Christ. Full of warnings and encouragement, as good as larger volumes on Revelation, and better than most. \\r\\nCuts through any """"pet theories"""" and gets to the real issue. Highly recommended \\r\\n

    Best commentary on Revelation

There are 2 types of commentary: the one that you read cover to cover and the one that you use for reference. This is the one that you want to read cover to cover because it is so elegantly written and easy to read. \\r\\n\\r\\nInterpreting the book of Revelation is not an easy task. So instead of focusing on the symbolisms, Hendriksen focuses on the main theme of the book: the victory of Christ and the church over the dragon (Satan) and his followers. \\r\\n\\r\\nThe beauty of this book is that it views the book of Revelation as one of the book of the Scriptures as a whole. Instead of isolating it from the rest of the Scriptures, Hendriksen refers to many Old and New Testament passages to support his view. I think the danger of interpreting Revelation is when you isolate the book from everything else. \\r\\n\\r\\nOverall, this is the best commentary on Revelation that I have come across. I am glad they released it again after 75 years. I think we need this kind of books more today than ever before. \\r\\n\\r\\n5 out of 5
