For too long, Christians have domesticated God, bringing him down to our level, as if he is a God who can be tamed. But he is a God who is high and lifted up, the Creator rather than the creature, someone than which none greater can be conceived. If God is the most perfect, supreme being, infinite and incomprehensible, then certain perfect-making attributes must be true of him. Perfections like aseity, simplicity, immutability, and eternity shield God from being crippled by creaturely limitations. At the same time, this all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-wise God exhibits perfect wisdom, holiness, and love as he makes known who he is and how he will save us. When we need to be reminded of God's magnificence, the attributes of God show us exactly why God is worthy of worship: there is none like him.
Join Matthew Barrett as he rediscovers these divine perfections and finds himself surprised by the God he thought he knew. Your Christian walk will never be the same.

None Greater: The Undomesticated Attributes of God$25.99
Deep, dense and saturated in undomesticated scripture
Our local church began reading this alongside a sermon series in Isiah, they weren't directly connected however the themes of God's character defiantly paralleled.
The chapters are dense and rightfully so, given we are studying God's attributes! An excellent book that truely challenged, promoted reviewing and articulated very clearly how I had honestly domesticated God's attributes to a lesser level, and inturn lowing Him down to me in an attempt to relate to Him more.
Well worth taking your time in each chapter over a week and discussing it with a brother or sister in Christ to consolidate and review your thoughts. We met each week as a small group to discussnn
A highly recommended book for any bible believing Christian who is genuinely open to review their thinking of God's attributes in a world saturated in lighthearted teaching that unjustly domesticates a Holy Holy Holy God.

Behold Your God!
Matthew Barrett does a simply excellent job of showing forth the greatness of God in all His Being and attributes. He connects """"each"""" attribute with the others, for example, His immutable holiness ,showing ultimately that God is not composed of """"parts"""" but His attributes are His essence, His essence is His attributes eternally and infinitely. \\nA serious but glorious read, well worth the effort to help you contemplate the incomprehensible, and yet, the God who has chosen to make Himself known. \\n
