**From Patti Callahan, the bestselling author of *Becoming Mrs. Lewis,* comes another enchanting story that pulls back the curtain on the early life of C. S. Lewis.**
***"Where did Narnia come from?"***
***The answer will change everything.***
Megs Devonshire is brilliant with numbers and equations, on a scholarship at Oxford, and dreams of solving the greatest mysteries of physics.
She prefers the dependability of facts-except for one: the younger brother she loves with all her heart doesn't have long to live. When George becomes captivated by a copy of a brand-new book called *The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe* and begs her to find out where Narnia came from, there's no way she can refuse.
Despite her timidity about approaching the famous author, Megs soon finds herself taking tea with the Oxford don and his own brother, imploring them for answers. What she receives instead are more stories ... stories of Jack Lewis's life, which she takes home to George.
Why won't Mr. Lewis just tell her plainly what George wants to know? The answer will reveal to Meg many truths that science and math cannot, and the gift she thought she was giving to her brother-the story behind Narnia-turns out to be his gift to her, instead: hope.
**Praise for *Once Upon a Wardrobe:***

I'm not a big fiction reader, but I cannot stop raving about this book! Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. I got lost in the lives of the characters and grew to have a deeper appreciation of C. S. Lewis and his works, especially 'the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. '

Wow!
This is a book for lovers of CS Lewis's writings. It is a book of layers. There is the fiction story of the sister and her young brother who is dying. He loves the book, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, which has recently been released in the time period of this book. He asks his sister, who is a student at Oxford if she can ask CS Lewis some questions he has about the book. So begins the next level of richness in the book as we journey through a sort of biography of CS Lewis's life. This book is like eating a banquet with its thoughts, encouragement, subtle teaching and emotions. You may need to read it with a pencil for underlining quotes and a box of tissues.

Once Upon a Wardrobe
If you haven't read """"The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe"""" then don't read this novel yet, it won't have any meaning. Interesting story, likeable characters, something about the way the tense changes was distracting to me. I'm guessing this was well researched, curious to know which parts are fiction and which are not.
