They have been married for over thirty years, have four children, 3 grandchildren and are on the staff at Holy Trinity Brompton - the London church that started the Alpha course. They started running the courses at Holy Trinity Brompton in 1996.
Drawing on their own experience of bringing up four children and having talked to thousands of parents over the years on their parenting courses, Nicky and Sila Lee bring fresh insights and time-tested values to the task of parenting.
The Parenting Teenagers Course *The Parenting Teenagers Course* is made up of five weekly sessions lasting 135 minutes each, including time for a meal. Each session can be split into two if preferred and run over ten shorter sessions lasting 90 minutes.
Session topics: - Keeping the end in mind - Meeting our teenager's needs - Setting boundaries - Developing emotional health - Helping them make good choices
Who is it for? Parents, step-parents, or carers of young people aged 11-18 years.
Want to run the course? The course is designed so that it is easy to run, particularly when using the DVDs. You may decide to do your own talks eventually, but we would recommend starting with the DVDs as this means you can concentrate on hosting your guests and creating the right atmosphere. Whichever way you decide to run the course, you will need to provide a guest manual (sold separately, #339397) for each person. These contain the questions for the discussions and the exercises that the guests fill in during and after each session.
