We live in a post-Christian world. Contemporary thought-claiming to be "progressive" and "liberating"-seeks to undermine biblical Christianity, but in fact contradicts culture itself by assaulting family, community, authority, and nature. Today's Christians need to understand the underlying worldviews of the post-Christian culture in order to navigate these new challenges in their world. This insightful book charts the course of how postmodernism led to our post-Christian times; explores how Christians can combat today's constructivism, relativism, and Gnosticism; and offers solutions to those problems as a way to recover reality, rebuild culture, and revive faith.

    Great

I thought this was insightful and deep. \\nIt went beneath the surface in a simple and understandable way to explain contemporary thought and culture.

    Insightful

This is why I read books. To gain a wider worldview and understanding of the world around me. This is an excellent book that describes the current condition of our society. How the problem of constructivism (the construction of one's own truth( permeates the post-secular society where we live today. \\nThis is an extensive book as well. Veith covers most aspects of life and how post-secularism has shaped those ideas. From technology, science, body and sex, community, education, religion, new ageism, and many more. \\nA thoroughly enjoyable book. Although some areas are a bit dense. But that's what I love about reading in general. It enriches your thinking.
