So Practical!
I just loved how practical this book was. I bought this book after feeling that I needed to make some changes to my personal prayer life. This book helped me in so many ways with practical steps to make our prayers more effective before God.

Thoughtful
This great book combines history with practical wisdom on prayer. It is written for everyday Christians but may be a little intimidating for those who are not big readers or thinkers.

Great Intro Prayer Book
Timothy Keller does a great job at breaking down the theology of prayer and the """"how-to"""" of prayer at a level for a layman to understand. He frequently references the bible and references great minds such as Martin Luther, John Calvin, and St. Augustine. I feel like my personal prayer life has been massively blessed through this book and would recommend it to anyone looking to deepen their intimacy with God.

A very thorough walkthrough on prayer. I enjoyed the parts where the author draws on Augustine, Luther and Calvin and explains in simple language how they prayed, and their understanding of it. I particularly benefited from the various """"patterns of daily prayer"""" given at the end of the book which can be applied easily to our own prayer lives. Keller helpfully explains how to combine our bible reading with prayer.

Profound Prayer
I'm just finishing this book as we speak. As far as expository texts go- it's wonderful! It aptly addresses the foundations of prayer and how individuals can activate this critical medium to understand their maker, saviour and spiritual father better. If you are to read one text this year- I recommend this one. Your prayer life will thank you!
