A fun fantasy adventure.
I enjoyed this second installment of the Medoran Chronicles. We are back with Alex for a second year at Akarnae. If Alex thought she would get a quieter and less adventurous year than the previous one, she is mistaken. Aven is still hunting her down - he is so menacing and cold, I would not want him as my enemy! And Alex is still learning just what she is capable of. Poor Alex is thrown into so many situations she does not want to be in! I like how she handles things with sass and humour.
There where some situations where I was thinking 'how is this allowed to happen?' *cough* SAS camping trip *cough*, or I wondered how Alex was capable of doing certain things, but Noni eventually explains the how and why and I was happy with the explanation.
One disappointing thing was that the library featured less in this compared to book one.
I love the friendship aspect of this book. I love how the two boys she is friends with aren't romantically interested in Alex and their friendships are remaining that way. We also got to know D. C better in this book and I liked her character much better in this installment.
My favourite part of this book were all the sweet scenes between Alex and Kaiden. A hint at a future romance perhaps?
Then there is the ending. The ending will make you want to go and read book three straight away so you might want to have it on hand if possible.
Overall, Raelia was a fun and exciting fantasy read that can be enjoyed by all teens and adults. The content is…
