My 11 year old daughter loved this book and the one that follows it but she was quite nervous at times reading it. This was the most 'thrilling' kids mystery book we've read together so far and I would NOT recommend this book for a child who is easily frightened. It does have a happy ending but is probably more suited for a child 10years plus or even a 12-15 year old. It's very well written, quite a page turner and my daughter is anxious for more by the same author. . . \\n\\nAs a side note, as a mum, I wondered where the Christianity was in this book for quite some time as there was considerable comments about tribal spirits, but I was satisfied by the end that it was indeed a Christian book.
