Systematic Theology: An Introduction to Biblical Doctrine (Second Edition)$89.99
Grudem's second edition of his Systematic Theology is a goldmine. His work is structured neatly and he writes clearly. The believer would be much benefitted in acquiring this work for their understanding of the basic doctrines of their faith and discovering where the faithful disagree. Where he departs from classic reformed understanding Grudem defends his arguments clearly and convincingly. Perhaps the biggest criticism I have seen against this work is its lack of historical theology, however the argument falls when one discovers there is a companion work, Historical Theology, written by Gregg R. Allison. For all the other arguments lobbied against it, I can speak only for myself. . . In reading this work I have only felt myself finding Scripture more sweet, Jesus more beautiful, the Father more glorious, and the Spirit more wonderful. Any work that grants me that I see as accomplishing its goal.

So helpful
This book is so handy when you want to go deep into scripture & really understand all the layers that are there- context, history, how it ties in with other scripture. Everything he says has scriptural references you can look up. It took me 3 hrs to get through 1 page this morning, as I kept looking up the scriptures in my different version of the Bible, & going off on tangents. It was so fun! A worthy investment.

Exhaustive, readable, sound teaching
Grudem's second edition of his Systematic Theology is a goldmine. His work is structured neatly and he writes clearly. The believer would be much benefitted in acquiring this work for their understanding of the basic doctrines of their faith and discovering where the faithful disagree. Where he departs from classic reformed understanding Grudem defends his arguments clearly and convincingly. Perhaps the biggest criticism I have seen against this work is its lack of historical theology, however the argument falls when one discovers there is a companion work, Historical Theology, written by Gregg R. Allison. For all the other arguments lobbied against it, I can speak only for myself. . . In reading this work I have only felt myself finding Scripture more sweet, Jesus more beautiful, the Father more glorious, and the Spirit more wonderful.
