The late Professor Fred W Danker was well regarded for his tireless and decades-long work in Greek lexicography, which culminated in 2000 with the publishing of the 3rd English edition of Bauer's German Greek lexicon (i. e. the so-called BDAG). Despite some misgivings by several noted philologists and lexicographers, BDAG is rightly considered to be the scholarly standard with respect to English dictionaries of New Testament (i. e. koine) Greek. Unfortunately, BDAG is also very large and weighty, and isn't a volume one can easily carry from class-to-class, or place-to-place. Enter Professor Danker's """"Concise Greek English Lexicon of the New Testament"""". This much slimmer volume was intended to complement BDAG, especially with respect to its use by '. . . ministers, seminarians, translators and students of biblical Greek. ' \\n\\nImportantly, our volume is not simply an abridgment of BDAG, neither is it a revision of his earlier """"Shorter Lexicon of the Greek New Testament"""", editions of which were based on the 1st and 2nd English editions of Bauer (i. e. the so-called BAG, and the later BAGD). To the contrary, the current work is a completely new volume, one that was produced along different principles, with its own rationale. \\n\\n""""The Concise Greek English Lexicon of the New Testament"""" should prove extraordinarily useful to students of biblical Greek, especially those involved in preaching and/or teaching.

Excellent reference
This lexicon is a cheaper and more affordable than some of the standard lexicons. It has the advantage of being newer and more up-to-date than BDAG but complied by one of the same authors. This is useful for those who are studying Greek and cannot yet afford BDAG, or as an alternative to quickly look up a word when one does not need to look up the full entry in BDAG. Highly recommended for those learning Greek or studying the Greek New Testament.

Highly Recommended
This Greek Lexicon is written by Danker who was one of the contributors to the """"BDAG"""" Greek lexicon. It is a condensed version of BDAG. I would highly recommend it. It gives a definition of each word as well as multiple gloss meanings, and has many explanations and examples. This is the lexicon which I use predominately when translating the Greek NT and I would highly recommend it for anyone studying or translating the Greek NT.
