The Deadly Shallows (#03 in Coastal Guardians Series)$29.99
This book doesn't really pause for a breath. That being said there is a lot going on and 5 POVs. Oddly, this book deviates a little from Dani's normal format. Both the main couple and who I assumed would appear in the next instalment have happy endings leaving me to wonder if Caleb and Austin get their own book or if this was it. I know the remaining couple, Logan and Em, get a novella that's been announced for next year, but I'm not sure where this series is headed. I'm thinking the novella is a wrap. This book, The Deadly Shallows, follows Dani's usual pattern of happily ever afters amid fast paced suspense. Don't skip anything. Someone can die in a single sentence, and if you missed it, you'll be left wondering. Dani's writing style can be a little cut and dry for me when I first start, but it also doesn't get in the way of the action. I get confused at times which head I'm in and who everyone is (because there are a lot of people involved), but I still can't put the book down. I've even pre-ordered the novella for next year. You need to pay attention because Dani will sweep you away down the white-water rapids before you can find a paddle. You'll never really feel settled, but you won't to bail either. It's a great, wild ride all the way to the end. Probably best as a binge read series, but you could do it as a single story so long as you aren't too curious who everyone else is and their stories.

Third is a series
I was a little behind as I didn't read the first 2 books in this series. There are a lot of characters and I was missing the development. I suggest reading them in order. This is a very face paced military themed suspense novel with a couple of romances taking centre stage as well. The plot line was a bit cliche, but I do enjoy a happy ending.
