It begins in the usual Sproul fashion of Grandpa telling a story. A boy who gets picked last for games and wonders why. His grandfather tells him a story about a donkey who has never done any work, and ends up getting picked for a very special task after a lot of waiting. Other donkeys had done wonderful things - like be able to talk or carry Mary. He then gets picked to carry Jesus- the King! He follows him and sees what happens to him, and then gets told about the purpose of his life and death- to save his people. The story finishes with Grandpa and Reilly talking about the gospel, and being willing to serve Jesus as his King. My 8 year old son and 6 year old daughter both enjoyed this. It includes questions and answers at the back to help understand the story better. Would recommend!
