Rich and moving truth - an excellent read!

It's rare to find a book that is rich in truth and moving in beauty, as well as achievable in length! But Michael Reeves has done it. \\r\\nAs a campus worker this is my go-to book for students with questions on the Trinity, interest in theology, or simply wanting to grow in their relationship with God. \\r\\nReeves's British wit makes this an easy and engaging read. This, coupled with his deep knowledge of church history and comparative work with Islam ensures that doctrine doesn't remain dry and abstract, but is alive and relevant. \\r\\nAdd to that short chapters and only 111pages in total, this work is outstanding.

    Must-read on the Trinity

Reeves shows us in a readable and enjoyable little book why the Trinity gives us reason to love and delight in God, and how it isn't an extra doctrine, but essential to the Christian faith and life. Read this and grow in your love for God.

    Knowing the true God

Tozer once stated 'What comes into our mind when we think about God is the most important thing about us'- which in itself is enough of a reason to read this book. To love, worship and obey God, we need to know who God is. And this book is a wonderfully short and easy to read guide to the doctrine of who God is, and how God as a trinity perfectly loves and interacts with himself. \\r\\nI first started reading this book on a bus, a friend had just finished it and I asked to have a look. And I was hooked - and bought the book for myself as soon as I got home. Before this I had never quite understood the role each of the Father, Son and Spirit, and after finishing the book I found I had a greater appreciation and understanding of God's love, and such awe and praise for the complexity and generosity of our God. \\r\\nThis book is well founded on scripture and is a must-have both to read and refer to throughout one's walk with the Lord. \\r\\n

    An Excellent Basic Introduction

This is the basic book on the Trinity that I give to people asking questions. Reeves manages to express his deep understanding of the doctrine and its history concisely, in simple language, and in a way that is engaging, but without """"dumbing-down"""". Released within a few years of lots of lay-person level books on the Trinity, this is my pick of the shorter introductions.

The Trinity made obvious, necessary and really beautiful.

This is a unique book. It is a book of theology, more specifically, about the Trinity - perhaps one of the most difficult topics to get one's head around but, in very simple language, Reeves makes the Trinity seems obvious, necessary and really beautiful. \\r\\n\\r\\nI totally agree with Tim Chester's statement on the back cover: """"Reading it feels like eating candy floss - sweet, fun, easy. But in fact you're getting a nourishing nutritious meal of real substance. """"\\r\\n\\r\\nI found his comparison of the Trinity with the god of Islam, which happens fairly regularly in the book, very helpful and, surprisingly, I even enjoyed the illustrations scattered through the book - often wood etchings from the 15th century. \\r\\n\\r\\nEvery Christian should read this book.
