Rosaria Butterfield invites readers into her home and shows from her own life and experience how "radically ordinary hospitality" can be a bridge for bringing the gospel to lost friends and neighbours - something that she experienced herself on her journey to Christ.
The word hospitality often invokes a scene of a gracious, impeccably fashioned host welcoming guests into a beautifully appointed home prepared with perfectly-presented meals. However, the biblical call to hospitality is a call to much more. In this book, Rosaria Butterfield invites readers into her home and shows from her own life and experience how "radically ordinary hospitality" can be a bridge for bringing the gospel to lost friends and neighbors-something that she experienced herself on her journey to Christ. Such hospitality welcomes those who look, think, believe, and act differently from us into our own everyday, sometimes messy lives. Christians will be inspired and equipped to use their homes and tables as a way of showing a skeptical, unbelieving world what love and authentic faith really look like.

Encouraging and challenging
I like the fact that Rosaria has concrete examples of real successes in reaching others, as I have prayed and tried to reach people for many years with little success. Tellingly, in our present neighborhood with no church at all, one of the few Christians said yesterday,""""We keep to ourselves"""". I wonder if that would change if they read this book? I hope it gets a wide readership.

Radically ordinary hospitality
In our increasingly individualistic society, this challenges our notion of hospitality, in particular how we may open up our houses to others. \\r\\nThrough the life example of Rosaria, we see how this may be practiced. Although, we may not be able to be like her immediately, we can all take steps one at a time to be more outward looking as Christians to our church, friends, neighbours and community.
