The Rise of the Wyrm Lord (#02 in Door Within Trilogy Series)$19.99
Although sequels in trilogy's generally get a bad rep, as with the Empire Strikes Back, Wayne Thomas Batson not only met the expectations raised by the first book, but surpassed them through the seamless introduction of new characters, worlds, and ideas. Although Antoinette is not my favourite heroine, she was by no means a detraction to the story which really upped the ante with the introduction of the titular Wyrm Lord and his Seven Sleepers. A great christian fantasy novel for young adults, this book managed to interest me, teach me, and not make me feel as though I was being preached to, at a time when that would not have been welcome to me.
