    Inspiring

Francine Rivers style of writing will undoubtedly absorb you into any story as she does in this book but I particularly loved and was encouraged by how she used the two characters to paint a beautiful picture of women from two generations who share similar struggles and great faith.

    A challenging read

It took me a little while to get into this book, but once I did, the themes of marriage, sacrifice, really listening and communication, really challenged me. \\r\\nFrancine Rivers has a way of making a novel become like a Bible study! I was challenged by the lives of the two lead female characters, and encouraged to examine my own life and walk. Always a good thing to check in on.

A novel that's hard to put down

This book was interesting to read. It tells the story of a lady who's marriage is going through a difficult patch and it also tells the story of the lady's ancestor, through a journal that's been passed down to her. The ancestor has been through similar issues. Both ladies struggle with the faith, so the book focuses on how that faith grows.

    Another great Francine Rivers title

What I love about Francine Rivers' books is that it makes the reader think about the storyline even after finishing the book. I couldn't put down the book once I started reading it and it was a different experience reading about the main character and her ancestor as their stories intertwined. Another great book on facing real-life struggles and drawing the reader closer to the Bible.
