John Bunyan, author of Pilgrim's Progress, only mentioned one of his children in his memoirs - Mary. Born blind, her story still intrigues us today. Mary developed a fierce determination for independence despite her disability after years of proving she was not hindered by her blindness. Only when she admits she needs help does she tap into the Source of all strength.

DAUGHTERS OF THE FAITH: These genuine, heart-warming stories are based upon the experiences of four young girls who trusted God. Meet Mary Chilton, who travelled to America on the Mayflower, Harriet Tubman, a slave born on a Maryland plantation in the 1800s, Olive Oatman, a pioneer raised by Indians, and Mary Bunyan, the blind daughter of John Bunyan.

    A Must Read

The Tinker's Daughter is based on the life of Mary Bunyan. Mary was born blind and, to most people, she seemed helpless. But when a tragedy strikes, she is resolved to prove that she is not helpless. I really love the whole 'Daughters of the Faith' series, and this is one of my favourites. Great for girls 10-16. This is a must read book.

    A beautiful true story.

The Tinker's Daughter\\r\\n\\r\\nBy Wendy Lawton\\r\\n\\r\\n'The Tinker's Daughter is about Mary Bunyan (John Bunyan's daughter). This book is about how Mary learns that she needs Gods help. She also learns that she is not invincible. Being blind, she always wanted others to know that she could do things without help. It's a great true story! She also meets a gypsy group and spends time with them. I really loved reading this book! I highly recommend it! \\r\\n\\r\\nYour reviewer, Shekanah \\r\\n
