Valuable reading for all theoogy students

This was one of two prescribed texts for theology studies (Christian Worldview). I am glad it was! \\r\\nMr Grenz outlines a beautiful, dynamic and logical argument for the Christian life, experience and call. He uses a framework of systematic theology, yet expresses it via the lense of the community of believers. His works often concentrate on this communion of God's people, with a call to action to locate oneself within the corporate nature of the church. The gathering of believers in Christ. While he walks you through his doctrine with a systematic approach, he does so with generous compassion, understanding and an enlivened spirit showing he was a great man of God. \\r\\nI recommend this book to all theology students, no matter what persuasion, denomination or specialisation. It shall enrich your understanding of the church's history, the doctrinal debates that have ensued, our call to action in Christ, and our need to consider and work toward better communion with each other.

A great complement to other Systematics

This work from the late Stanley Grenz is an excellent take on a work of Systematic Theology. The tension in any work of Systematic Theology is how much to dissect the Word of God to fit in to the themes or to answer the questions of the time it's written. Grenz resolves this tension by seeking to highlight the themes of Community and Covenant as revealed in the whole of Scripture while visiting other issues along the way.
