What would it look like to genuinely love God with our head AND our heart? To have a faith marked by right thinking AND right feeling? To know God deeply AND worship him passionately? Too often, Christians act as though these things are at odds with one another. But what if God intends for us to possess a Christianity that is radically committed to biblical truth, in a way that did not diminish the life of the heart, but actually intensified it?
Adam Ramsey invites us to engage both our minds and our emotions in our walk with God as we gaze at him until our hearts sing. He sums it up like this:
"My hope in these following pages is to paint a biblical portrait of what God is actually like, so that we can gaze upon him together until our hearts can't help but sing. To behold him in such a way that our daily experience is transformed with a deepened awareness of who it is we pray to, who it is that is with us, and who it is that we are loved by. To let God's truth set our hearts on fire."
If you yearn for God but desire a clearer biblical picture of this God whom you love, or if you have been walking with God for a while now, but your experience of him has become settled or dry, then this book is for you.
Questions for reflection and application that can be used individually or in group study are found at the end of each chapter. Foreword by Ray Ortlund.
Adam leads Liberti Church on the Gold Coast of Australia and serves as the network director for Acts 29 Australia, New Zealand, & Japan. He also contributes articles to The Gospel Coalition.

This book was truly amazing in showing the true balance between the knowledge of God and experiencing him personally. I was able to take so many notes from this book and I will be recommending it to all.

Easy-to-read theology
Loved this book! Very down-to-earth language and explanations that kept me wanting to read more. A great look at the different aspects of who God is. Also love Adam Ramsey's sense of humour!

Tasty, readable and moving!
There are a few things you should know about this book. Firstly it is rich in theology. Adam does a great job in providing really helpful information about the attributes. \\nSecondly it drives you to your knees in awe of God. The thrust of the book is to cause you to look at God and when you do you cannot help but worship him. \\nThis book is so accessible, helpful and moving. I cannot recommend it enough.

Fire!
I'm stating 2 cases here:\\n1. No matter how long you have been a Christian, it is necessary to go back and learn the attributes of God. \\n2. Studying attributes of God doesn't have to be boring. \\n\\nAnd this book helps those 2 points. \\n\\nRamsey argues that most Christians are either thinkers or feelers. The thinkers argue that theological knowledge is the most important thing in our relationship with God. While the feelers argue experiencial relationship is more important. Well this doesn't have to be an either-or. Ramsey presents that we can be both. \\n\\nThis is an excellent book that highlights the holiness of God, the sovereignty of God, His immanence, His goodness, His love, and His mercy. You know the typical attributes of God. But he presents them in a way that burn in our hearts! This is a nicely written book. His vocabulary is exquisite in explaining these attributes. This is also readable so you don't need to be a scholar to enjoy this. Yes, you can enjoy this book. \\n\\nI'm recommending this to everyone who wants to know God more by studying about His attributes. It will be a time well spent

Devotional Theology at its Finest
This beautifully written book was exactly what my head and heart needed! Theology and experience, right thinking and right feeling, truth and beauty. Each chapter combined them both, by first getting me to look at what God is like, and then understanding how that attribute of God leads me into a deeper experience of Him and others. Highly, highly recommend!
