Veggie Tales #56: Celery Night Fever, DVD (#56 in Veggie Tales Visual Series)

I loved this DVD because it teaches an extremely valuable and important life lesson about forgiveness. It shows through the journey of a group of friends in a band, how pride, bitterness, and unforgiveness can strain relationships and prevent us from living life to the fullest. I highly recommend as I believe children should be taught how to forgive as early on as possible and I can think of no better way to teach them than through this incredible movie.

Being the veggietales lover that I am, I usually prefer the older and more classic veggietale DVD, but this one exceeded my expectations. This is probably one of my new faves! Forgiveness is a subject that needs to be discussed with children in an appropriate fashion, and this episode does just that and more! There are also some fun and catching new songs AND includes special guest, Terry Crews, so there really is something for the whole family to enjoy!

Our church has used this DVD for our Kids Club and it was very well received. The children could easily relate to the theme of forgiveness and how this affects friendships, and they were able to relate it to their own lives. The disco flavour really added to the fun and excitement. To go along with the disco theme, why not get your children to try out some 70's dance moves - ours had a great time getting groovy.
