What Are Eyes For? A Lift-the-Flap Board Book (Training Young Hearts Series)

Happened to be reading this to a friends child with another adult friend, and we got to the end and were amazed at the incredible spiritual truth and lesson this short, simple child's book ended with. We were even convicted! Great fun with the flaps as well. Went and bought a few for other little ones in my life!

I ordered this series for our church playgroup as we had the theme ""God made me"" and learning about body parts. Since then I've also bought copies for my own kids. The series helpfully teach how God made our eyes, and what are they for, and what they are not for. I particularly love how each book has ""Jesus has eyes just like us. . "" and yet He used them perfectly. The message of gospel, grace, and asking for God's help is also so clearly presented.

I adore this series, and would recommend every family with preschoolers to get at least one of these. My daughter is 3 and wants these books read to her every night. The pictures are bright and colorful, the lift-the-flaps are fun, and the gospel message is so well presented. It starts by saying God made my eyes, and that they are not for looking down on others, but with God's help we can use our eyes to be kind to others. Jesus was a child just like me, and he used his eyes to do good, etc. It is well written and really sweet. Highly recommend.
