This book as the author says is to """"seek to remedy that ignorance and indifference that have plagued and continue to plague many worshiping Christians. By exposing what's really happening in these moments of corporate worship"""". Many books in differing ways have said the same thing as Cruse does from a Presbyterian and Reformed perspective. He is committed to the principle that the bible regulates worship which he applies in a broad sense. This is a good instructive introductory work on biblical worship. I highly recommend it.

Makes Churchgoing exciting again!
This book is about going to church and what happens when we come to worship. In the age of online churches, this book is an excellent resource to show why physical church services still matter. \\n. \\nStarting with a brief theology of worship, Cruse gives an excellent survey on the importance of worship. How in worship we meet God and how it is shaping us to be more Christ-like. \\n. \\nThe second section of this book, Cruse covers the anatomy of a worship service. Starting from the call to worship, singing, preaching, praying, communion, and finally the benediction. In this section, Cruse gives a biblical argument for each one and gives us some guidance on what is biblical worship. \\n. \\nDriven from a regulative principle point of view, this book could give you a different perspective on liturgy (if you come from a low liturgical worship style). If you are in a high liturgical context, this book will explain why we do what we do. \\n. \\nAn excellent resource to recapture and reignite our hearts on the beauty and wonders of sunday service.
